A Fowl Match – Sarah Madeline

A Fowl Match – 3.5/5 ✩

ARC Review – What a stunning debut novel from Sarah Madeline! A Fowl Match was fun, witty, and the perfect read for when you need your small town romance fix!

Madeline’s novel follows Violet and Dustin, an unlikely couple forced to compete together in their small town’s annual spring festival month. Initially, the two butt heads, but of course, that type of chemistry can only be fought for so long.

The novel is fast paced and reads very easily. It puts you in your feels and evokes the type of nostalgia that only a small town romance can. I loved the setting, loved the imagery and the visuals I was able to create in my head of what this town looks like, and that was supplemented by fun and relatable characters.

Both Violet and Dustin feel real on the page and their innocent love was refreshing and left me wanting more. Can’t wait for the second book and to keep getting to know the other characters in Thornwood Valley!

Thank you Sarah for providing me with an arc and congratulations on your debut novel!
